The Mid Shore Opioid Misuse Prevention Program (OMPP) is a regional initiative between the five Mid-Shore County Health Departments including Dorchester, Caroline, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, and Kent. The overarching goal is to prevent fatal opioid overdoses by preventing the misuse of opioids through means of safe storage/disposal of medications, patient-physician communications, and seeking treatment for substance use disorder.
